Our Purpose
Our lives should be filled with vitality, energy, strength, and ease of movement accompanied with no significant pain or discomfort. This is normal but certainly not average. Most of us do not feel this way. This state can be achieved by practicing a wellness lifestyle which isbased on recognizing one simple truth.
We share the same hunter-gatherer genes as our ancestors who foraged and hunted for food over 30,000 years ago. Our genes and body successfully evolved to fit this specific hunter-gatherer life-style. To suvive this pre-historic world, we had to move alot and eat certain available foods. This type of movement and type of food is what our bodies and genes expect. If we did not move enough and eat the proper foods, our body fell into dysfunction and we became ill.
Today, we share the same body and share the same genome as our pre-historic ancestors. But we do not move the same way or eat the same type of foods in sufficient quantity and quality that our body and genes demand to thrive. We do not live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
We are pre-historic people living a modern life-style. This fact causes body dysfunction, illness and the use of medicines to help us survive the mistakes resulting from our life-style. The resulting trend of declining function is an epidemic of pain, depression, cardio-vascular disease, indigestion, cancer, diabetes, allergies, asthma, and obesity is apparent.
America’s declining health is it’s most important story. The purpose of this blog and our office is to help reverse this tragic trend and help restore health and vitality to our community.
